Can't suggest anything else than a lathe or mill depending on what you make.
The Delrin is rigid and that will be needed for the bobbin slots.
Other materials may be to flexable to cut slots real accurate.
Polycarbonate is rigid.
Lathe mill combo's come in many sizes.
Can be found at a few places and the easiest for me was Harbor Freight.
You can check online and quite often they have sales.
Its usually a heavy tool so check the weight.
Then you'll need bits and adapters.
Get something large enough to make other parts needed for your projects.
Just think of this, if you go to a machine shop and pay to have something made how much it costs per part.
Now weigh that into your cost for a good tool. It pays for itself!
