That is the BIG QUESTION which truely have not YET  a clue to the answer to it!!

How comes an unipolar activity would create a mechanical /acoustic resonance.?

If thinking conventional:

Take a loud speaker:

as long you are applying AC you will ear something..
If you are applying an increasing DC activity (charging pump) you will ear something until the speaker reach it maximum top corner.

(then smoke from its coil  will start......)

Am practical enginner working over 20 years in  conbentional  electronic circuitrIies....
In that water wonder  I think it is more an handicap than a help.

Aat least can find confort knowing what is conventional or not

here is a simple video

A simple mechanical resonance demonstrator
"In physics, resonance is the tendency of a system to oscillate at maximum amplitude at a certain frequency. This frequency is known as the system's resonance frequency. When damping is small, the resonance frequency is approximately equal to the natural frequency of the system, which is the frequency of free vibrations."

Yes, Tesla did make a building shake,  He had a small battery powered box that could fit in his pocket that he placed on one of the steel girders of a building being built in New York. It was reported that the building started to hum, then stake, to the point the workers thought it was an earthquake. They called the police, At which time, Tesla removed the box from the girder. stuck it in his pocket and left.

I'd give my left one to have just some of his genius.  ;D
