Our First Power Theif

The Primary winding of the auto ignition coil Is more related to this category than any device i have ever seen. Therefor I place knowledge of it here. Its good that i finally get to post information here in this category as it has been empty for some time now.

Many new designs will come and many new designs will be based around this coil. At this time the true workings of this coil is not really understood publicly nor looked at. So i bring attention to it as i already understand it, in hope you will to.

In time, as new users start to realize how this device works, i feel you will see new technology come forth. The primary winding in this coil can be used for way more than generating Hv sparks.

I look forward to seeing this circuit scaled up and used for other things "Other than sparks," as you can do many things with this circuit without using HV secondary coils. I am curious to what some of the uses and inventions will be regarding this coil.

I say, let the fun begin!

Since there is no activity in this thread, i am assuming that many is unclear of what i am pointing out. I will try now and Clear it up.

1.What i have noticed is a coil that will Restrict Amps/Current, and is the primary of an auto ignition coil. This coil usually draws between 4 and 5 amps at 12.5 volts and is around 1.3 ohms.

2.The coil is Zig zagged wrapped. Meaning on Discharge Each Coil "Appears" to be in series. This will emit 300 + volts From the "Primary."

3.The Condenser is not a Capacitor, It does not Perform as a capacitor and it Does NOT hold or store a charge, That is not the Condensers Purpose!

4.The Points is Hooked in "Parallel" with the Condenser, and the Condenser is hooked in series between the 12.5 volt battery and Primary coil.

5.When the points are Closed, The core builds up a magnetic Charge, since the Condenser is in parallel with the points it is a dead short, Draining the Condenser.

6.A condenser is a poor capacitor, it would not hold a charge anyways.

7.When the Coil is charged threw the points, The points break open. The only thing connecting the Primary to the battery is a Condenser, "it Condenses." Meaning, "IT ALLOWS A LOOP."

8.Due to the condenser, the 12.5 volt battery Plus the 300+ volt EMF discharge will equal over 312.5 volts!

9.The Primary is restricting amps in, "It's wrapped that special way that causes this."

10. Upon discharge the wraps is now "Another Advantage." It more than increases the EMF voltage by more than 25 times.

11.There is not a better way to "Super Magnetize a core."

12.This is a Resonate LC Circuit.

13.The Condenser Protects the Points for arc, The EMF is looped when a condenser is used in series with the battery. When no condenser is used you will get NO spark, the magnetization of the core is simply to weak! The spark comes from the 300+ volts collapsing field.

I would also like to point out that a DC Capacitor can be hooked in SERIES with an auto ignition coil and spark plug on the HV side. The DC capacitor will take on a charge up to several hundred volts. If you was to arc this cap it would be very loud, i've done it several times.

The caps polarity when in series with the Plug and secondary winding with NO DIODE reads HV DC not AC.

If i have not explained this 100% and you are confused about something or whatever, Please post your question here. I will gladly help you because i really want you guy's to all understand this coil and how it works, and how it can be used for other applications.

Thank you very much for hardcore facts without any additional information. I like that very much. Stevie did the same with his water facts. It is SUPER!! That how information should be shared. It gets your brain focus on the right track instantly. Thank you again.

Regards.
