alright i have to keep taking this with my laptops webcam....i don't ahve a digital camera....only medium format cameras!!.....so this is the transformer....if your wondering what the horrible plastic mess is it's my masking tape insulation.

i will post photos of my entire setup when the bifilar coil is done.....i can post oscope images of the transformer but not until my roomate gets his cf card read working...so i can use his digital.

Very good job indeed.  It's very functional and not at all ugly.  That type of tape may give you some trouble.  You might want to use the special tape Bob Boyce recommends the next go around.  Great Job!!  Thanks for sharing the pic.

alright so.....here is the core i am going to buy...1 inch in diameter is pretty hard to find.

alright so i got my pulsing dc and it is sent into the transformer at around 5 volts.....since my dc source is 12 votls and half on half off equals 6.......then it gets shot out the other end at a little less than 50 votls.....but at the frequency im using and the transformer im using it pulls around 1.35 amps naturally......i can't wait to get the bifilar core becuase i tried to do it with a gaint bolt and it wasn't a go.....too anxious...almost there and then step charging begins.
