now about the led input voltage...which i do think your right on saying that vin means voltage input......it does say that they are controlled by seperate BATTERIES inside the air gas processor....so the voltage i am unsure of as to what type of batteries he was using.....maybe jsuta simple 12 volt leds run by 4 AA??

My interpretation of battery, used in this context, is meaning multiple banks of LEDS.
