Hydrogen stations closing

https://www.msn.com/en-nz/news/other/shell-is-immediately-closing-all-of-its-california-hydrogen-stations/ar-BB1i2ZfW?ocid=msedgntp&pc=ACTS&cvid=94858fdfa7564654a288581f63a35a93&ei=12

also there is a claim of "natural hydrogen" in France. If this is true then what happens to the H2 argument? The response has always been H2 needs to be compressed etc and energy has to be "put in". The "natural Hydrogen" they refer to, is not as compressed as a high presure filling station.
It looks like the French are filtering CNG to get away from the "Carbon" word.

Also what happened to the "Fossil fuel" theory if there is such thing as "natural Hydrogen"? It cant be sourced from Peat or carbon-based material.
Is this moving towards earth crystals deep in the ground, piezo electric electrolysis.....

At the end of the day, Governments and corporations dont wont people making their own tax-free fuel. If the French company is accepted as legit, then H2 cells producing Hydrogen and oxygen from tap water, are on the same level. The end product is the same just Low budget vs big bucks investors
