Hello
(1/1)
Muneel:
Greetings
I have been in the alternative energy field as an amateur since the past 10 or so years. In this time I have built a series 6 cell electrolyser (replication of ZeroFossilFuels "Batt cell"), the Bedini SSG, Biogas plant to run a 5kw home generator (made a video about it some time ago, thanks to youtube great exodus my account somehow lost ownership and was removed), and implemented Lawrence Tseung's magnetic frame thing which is basically a transformer with mags through which a pulsed dc is passed and a few watts are gained at the output. During this time I self taught myself some electronics and electrical theory while my education was related with construction industry. I had great respect for John Bedini and his passing away saddened me. As if the scene has went dark after the loss of that honest and noble man who shared his inventions for free and did not misguide people like so many others. I was on his forums though I am not a frequent poster.
Anyway I hope my posts will be of some use to the forum. I'm all set for a come back specifically I am going to experiment with the nano pulse electrolysis. Its while searching for its implementation ideas is how I have found this forum and I can see that there are mostly serious people here who know things and might even help me with my projects. I started with Dave Lawton's circuit though I haven't completed it yet. Recently purchased some other stuff, things like the SG3524 ICs and a heap of 555 ic's and have a few ideas on how to come up with a pulser circuit. Also constructing a cylinderical shaped electrolyser casing out of a home water filtering unit. There is so much different info on all the details regarding HHO generation out there on the internet to the point it feels like disinformation to me (sorry). I think the only way to be sure is to build. That's what I do. Please bear with my noobish queries and any other inappropriate things you may find.
Thank you all.

Hello, my name is Fabio, i´m another man here also trying to get somewhere with hydrogen from water..
Please be and feel welcome to this forum!
I never tried this sg3524 you can post your schematics if you have any to help explain your points or doubts..
Best Regards
Steve:
Welcome!
I am Steve and also trying and trying and trying to get a better and efficient way of cracking the watermolecules.. :)
Looking forward to see yr progres on the nano pulse system.
cheers!

Thank you.
The SG3524 is an ic designed to drive mosfets. It is a "regulated pwm control ic". I'm also new to it. From what I have read so far it is supposed to generate a driving square waveform, two actually, one inverted (negative squares) and the other the usual positive squares, and do so at frequencies around 350 khz or so I have read IIRC. I got 5 of them for less than 1 usd. Like the 555 ic it also needs a cap and a resistor to determine this output frequency. But unlike the 555 it is supposed to be stable and adequate in its current and voltage output to properly saturate / drive a mosfet gate, since it is designed specifically for this. The inverted output is there for a second mosfet arranged in a totem pole configuration. Please pardon my noobish understanding of these technical terms, its just what I have gathered on the subject so far.
Now my assumption for this WFC project is that energy conservation is directly proportional to the frequency of the pulses being sent to the electrolyser. Secondly, it may be so that the radiant / bemf spikes do the trick, which we can easily check by removing the diode across the coil in the Dave Lawton's WFC circuit. I have ran a few simulations of that. It seems that if the diode across the coil is removed we get spikes of 1000+ volts. Furthermore, Patrick J. Kelly wrote in the instructions that if a BUZ350 mosfet can not be obtained then the source and drain of the substitute mosfet should have a diode across them for its protection.
I have read on OU forums about 48khz pulsing and of course different point of views, one being that 48 khz is only a starting point and higher frequencies may give better results. We all must have read that Indian paper on nanopulse electrolysis and how they have given data that does not match the graphs. The only way to find out is to try and build a pulser circuit that works in mega hertz. That may not be easy. Personally I have not determined if ordinary items like the usual vero board can be used at those frequency ranges.
Next is the circuit design part. The Bedini Rife machine circuit looks interesting. A bunch of SG3524 (instead of 555s) pulsing into a mixing line driving a mosfet that can switch that fast (or may be more than one mosfets) and then a coil like in Lawton's setup. I'm not sure about the details of this technical circuit design part as I have not gotten around to it. I still have to sit down and run some simulations. For 555s I have been using a Java based (free) simulation software. LTSpice has SG3524 modules. Either way I will have to see how to properly mix the pulses to achieve the desired result, or if it will even work properly. The coil might have to be air core since ferrite core will not work at those frequencies.
In short, there is my plan. I do not know how feasible it is for the purpose, if at all. So far I have experience with HHO as additive to my car's engine taken from a simple faraday electrolyser. I have run it at up to 30 amps only to bog down the alternator. At 10 amps I have had best mileage. Back then I couldn't tell a diode from a resistor. But now I feel its time to augment it with nanopulse. I want better savings. ;D
Cheers.

The nano pulse story is related to allowing the primary side to collapse at nano times.. but to do so we need a switch that can handle the high voltage that occur and usually kill the mosfets..
the paper presents a way to use tyristors in series to augment the capability of handling the high voltage at the primary side...
for example you charge your primary with 1amps and let it discharge thru a 1k resistor.. the voltage will be 1000v .... the time it will take to discharge will however depend of the secondary load too.. if the load is heavy it wont respect the primary time constant ... it will be a combination of both times..
i think is possible also to use capacitive discharge to generate nano pulses.. but it also require a system for letting it charge/ discharge and maybe expensive components..
i´m trying the last one but abusing of the construction geometry to exploit the capacitances already present...
the big deal with this nano pulse is to depolarise the molecule trying to break the covalent attraction force separating the molecules by action of resonance not only current ....
I think i remember this sg3524 chip... is useful for push pull like you said, your terminologies are ok
