I have since erased the drawing showing the VIC wound on a torroidal corre as it is wrong, after looking at H20Power's pictures and the drawing I think I have it figured out. Thanks H20Power!
I will try to explain this as simply as possible...
The VIC Has 3 bobbin cavities. 2 Inner, and 1 outer.
The inner bobbin cavity contains a ferrite rod in the middle of it which extends throughout the entire length of the cavity!
The inner Bobbin Cavities Include the chokes. One bobbin cavity on top of the other
-The chokes are Bifilar wrapped (2 wires on each) and the wires are spiral wrapped on the bobbins(These wires should be made of 430F or 430FR Stainless steel) to reduce unwanted amp flow
The outer (larger bobbin cavity) includes the Primary coil. ( Wound first so that it takes up the inner part of the outter bobbin cavity as the secondary sits on top of it) The Primary coil is also bifilar wrapped. The primary coil will have 2 wires on each end, each end should have a positive and negative (this is what he means as Bi-Directional wrapped I believe) All other coils have 2 positives on one end and 2 negatives on the other end.
The seconday coil is wrapped over top of the primary coil, the seconday coil is also Bifilar wrapped and the wires are spiral wrapped on the bobbin.
If I made any mistakes, please correct me if I'm wrong!!!
I will try to post a drwaing showing this for everyone when I get more time.
