My problem is not the gate.
I'm working with much higher rating than the 3055, it wouldn't be a choose for what i'm trying to accomplish.
Amps cam only flow if there is a voltage over the breakdown voltage of the component.
There are two ways of burning components, by over current of simple over voltage, over voltage will lead to current flow and that minimum will destroy the device, while amps can only burn components by over heat.
So voltage is dangerous than amps when the switch is open.
I just had an epiphany!
I was looking into a page and found that sidacs are called switching diode, because they only conduct after its rated voltage. It can work like a varistor, also there are other components that behave in that manner.
Would Meyer Use a SIDAC for the switching diode function?
What i'm doing is: i'm finding a way to let the field collapse while not burning my components and still send the voltage field to water and not to snubbing.
