We will be able to replace parts of the schematics with IC's, Microcontrollers or other components to make the entire VIC card a lot cheaper than the $300 we are no talking about. Before that however we first need to have a working system so we can analyse the exact workings and only then we will be able to proceed. Tony, Outlaw, ... i never meant to say that $300 is too much for the work you put into it, it is clearly not .... Only for most of us (i myself already spent several $1000 dollars in materials, components and time on this) spending $300 on a VIC card of which we do not know if it will work with a given coil/tube set is a lot of money.

It is your good right to ask that money but as stanmeyerlives indicates, we will never proceed past this point if we keep trying to make money out of every little progress we make. I hope i will find the time this summer to terminate my own schematics and PCB of the meyer vic card.

I'm just trying to offer people a replication of Stan's VIC circuit. I have put 4 years into researching his work and materials. Some of you guys have been doing it longer than me. If you don't want to buy the circuit then don't buy it. Do the research and build the circuit yourself, I've pointed out all the stuff you need to research in order to build it. So stop busting my balls for the work I've put into this system. You've had the same opportunities that I have had with all this. I've given and given information on a lot of this stuff, hell at one time I gave ya'll information that got me banned from this forum for several weeks. I've posted lots of Stan's stuff on my website for free where I had to pay for some of the information and images. I think I've done a lot to help people understand what Stan was doing. I've noticed a lot of people who are complaining are the ones who sit and watch this forum just to get what they can and not put anytime into researching this stuff.

Thanks,
Tony Woodside

Thankyou Tony, your efforts are gratefully received. Also thankyou for quickly providing the links to the materials others can also study to work out the circuit at their own pace. To my mind the effort to complete the 8xa board is a necessary step in the understanding of what is happening in the circuit and cell to achieve the waters split result by a means that is not a chemical electrolysis.

I am going through the 8xa info for the purpose of seeing how to use it for a simple single injector for a single cylinder engine with a fixed throttle

Yeah the 8XA circuit needs to be the first step. You need to learn and understand what is happening in the 8XA circuit before moving on to the VIC circuit.

What would be a recommended diagram / board layout software to use?  Are there any freeware ones that would be suitable?

There is a freeware version of EagleCAD that allows you to create a PCB of 100mm/80mm which should be sufficient for the 8XA circuit, see http://www.cadsoft.de/ for information and downloads.
