Hi,
Just for the background information, last year I build some Bedini monopole motors to charge some lead batteries.
They charged like the man says, the difficult part is the impedance matching on the primary battery with the bifilar coil. When you match this the primary is very efficient. I didn't do this yet.
Some people have added another slave coil with 4000+ windings to catch the south poles magnet energy and charge a capacitor to 1000+Volts (positive energy) and dumping this energy back onto the primary battery when it’s disconnected from the power coil. (Switching between load/charge) When using this the primairy battery is charging while running the system and you have the charger running for a very long time while charging sec batteries.
The Sec batteries (1 to 4) are all on the negative charge side and charging slow towards higher voltages as normal. (I used old used lead batteries) so these where highly sulfated and charged slowly higher and higher each charge run. Charging with 100mAmps takes a long time with a conventional charger
My charge runs where around 14Hours from 10Volts to 13.5Volts. A couple of times I uncharged some batteries to 2Volts :-) normally you cannot charge these anymore. After connecting the Bedini system the battery is quickly above 10Volts again and charging towards 14Volts... and prob. higher if you leave it running.
The pictures below show a couple of my setups (2 setups using old hard drives +/- 100MBytes disc's) and the latest setup with a bicycle wheel.
Results are strange, charging batteries with 100mAmps current 500Volts spikes. Charging takes a long time at first but after 10 runs it becomes faster. When uncharging the batteries more and more energy can be used. Batteries become cold to the touch while charging.
I have currently not seen OU (yet) but I didn't test with new batteries, still need to try this one time.
Of course the main problem with this system is, if you want to make some fried potato's you need allot of batteries to handle the current at 12Volts...
At the Bedini monopole yahoo groups they are working on a 10KWatt+ monopole, don't know what batteries they want to charge, mine would prob. explode with that kind of energy...
