Nice pdf doc Alan, good reading and pic drawings.
Something about this is telling me I have to figure the right loads.
The last test had 1.5-1.6v AC output.
To run the tubes I had to use diodes, and it would not work with added chokes.
Before I redo another testing set I'm looking for 1.5v loads.
The indicator lights I used are 12v old automobile indicators.
The coils and core are like a musical tone instrument. Several tones can be heard at one time while tuning.
On my PWM are 100k precision pots and they can tune! The MEG actually produces several notes like a lick in pefect pitch.
Although there are some ugly tones I get several notes in succession that are perfect arpeggio's.
It likes to tune to its resonance.
When I used a autotransformer and bridge for the coils it makes a hissing tone sound, it does not like this second source.
Maybe that the PWM does not like the other negative wire of the autotransformer?
I couldn't get the autotransformer over 15v setting anyway.
15 volt primary seems that this MEG likes that.
I need to think of 1.5v load sources (cheap), any ideas?
