That is the industrial steam resonator, you can see another picture of it in one of the later news releases.

It heats water with a Switch Over VIC circuit, you can see a picture of the control panel for it on the Orion Project webpage.

I know that guy in the photo.He was one of two guys I took down to see Stans stuff.My avatar was taken the same day.As you can tell.
