I've been doing some work with something jokingly refered to by some as a Flux Capacitor. Intuitively, they know that the designation is correct, from the perspective of a car battery, although I haven't seen any discussions on the underlying theory as to why the term applies.
I learned from experiments that a non ionic storage medium can also be used, such as a physical capacitor. The key is to use a type of circuit which produces the flux. Here are some pictures of the effect, with a specially designed capacitor:

Any transtemporal effects will depend, to a large extent, on the skill, and knowledge, of the operator.
