HHO system in Opel Astra 1.6i
Leon:
I have used distilled water so I don't understand. Maybe some residues where left in the cell from the citric acid that I used to clean the plates. Anyway I go drive a while with sodium hydroxide and see how it goes.

Nice results. Good job. 8) 8)

Hi Knovos,
Nice results for 1 litre HHO in your engine.
You also might play with less HHO and Efie adjusting, to see what the impact is.
The reason is that i heard that too much HHO would give worse performance.
Not sure what the limit is on that. If you would build a 2 or 3 litre system, you could play more with that part.
Question: Does your car have an airintake sensor?
Ps.
I moved your topic to your own project section here.

I am busy these day's with playing around with the EFI and the amounts of HHO. I could not found some kind of starting point on the web. Something I understand because of all the variables that are involved. No one can say thats the right tuning/setting for your motor. What I know now that it is hard to adjust an EFI. Therefore I am busy to build a cell that separates the oxygen from the hydrogen. If I succeed to build one, I don't need an EFI anymore. I have found only 1 Australian inventor on the web who has build one. check out this www.hho-research.com.au I start a new topic when I have build the cell, I don't want to buy all the stuff from his website so I have to improvise.
As far as I know my car has no airintake sensor. Build 1992 is to old for that technology.
Update 19 Sept 2010:
yesterday I did a small trip and got some new starting results. 1 liter 16.8 kilometers (39.87 MPG). Not so good as previous results but I have to start all over again. I don't change anything for this moment and I will see if this result stays stable.
Thanks for moving this Topic Steve.
Steve:
I have made one, last year.
It seperated H and O well.
If you need any help, just ask.
Steve
