I think the lesson to be learned here is:
Never take money or donations from anyone. And if you do get them to sign a legal agreement. Even then I wouldn't do it.
Stan was sued for the same thing ( by people who gave him investment money), and the b.s. media used it to discredit him, even though the case was more about money than his technology.
