How do you post pages from tech briefs?
« on: November 03, 2009, 01:36:06 am »
I'm looking to insert pages of Stan papers into my post like I see others doing here. How do you insert just one page or a part of a page into a post? And how can you highlight just one sentence? Can it be done in the post? Or do you need to do it on your computer first, then post it as an attachment?
I'm looking to do this in my projects section to explain Stans work.
Any help would be greatly apprieciated.

What I do is take screen shots, then upload them on www.photobucket.com (free hosting), then you post the link with img tags around it like this (IMG)link(/IMG) except with square brackets. Photobucket automatically provides the link and img brackets for you to paste into the msg, you just copy it from there after you upload it.

I use a mac, so for me to take screenshots I just press Command-Shift-4 and cross-hairs come up to select where I want the picture, and then it saves it right to the desktop...

If you use a PC then you would have to press Ctrl-PrintScreen, open up Paint and press ctrl-v (paste), then crop your screen shot, then save it, which would take a bit more time.
