if you have 3 sets of 2 wires twisted together it is delta, if you have 3 wires only not twisted together it is wye.

so if it is delta, it will have 6 wires output, but 2 is twisted together on each output.

"i like delta", stevie likes wye, they both kick but!

The old alternator should have external AVR to control magnetic field for stator. Found out from my car mechanic and he helped me to fix one to this old alternator. I haven't test this alternator with AVR yet (was away for two days). I'll post the result once tested.

Hi guys,

The alternator used was spoilt. Now I know why the alternator gives out 60V. I test with DMM set at diode settings and found out that alternator diode got damaged. My friend gave another alternator which only has two pin for rotor coil. This alternator has built in circuit. Once the alternator spun up to speed, the rotor automatically get magnetised and able to output power at 16.74V (without load). Much simpler alternator compared to previous version.

The alternator current flow automatically adjusted based on load being used. To force more current then need to apply 12V to rotor pin. I tought of putting variable resistor between 12V battery and rotor pin to control input amps that goes in inorder to control alternator output amps.

wise decision! I think you found the the right alternator now.
I took the avr and diodes out my alternator and I used only the diodes. Hydro and me are indead controlling rotor voltage. But we use the amps and volts of the alternator self. See the schematic here on this forum..we use a FET.

Hi Steve,

Yes, that is the way to get higher voltage out of alternator. OK, I learned some new things from alternator. The rotor pin I mentioned yesterday which I intent to control input current to control rotor magnetize level, does not work. Once the rotor got charged, this pin outputs 14.73V.

This alternator automatically adjust the output power based on load applied. So I got to work around based on this feature and should be fine.

Ok Kumaran,

lets see what that brings you.
If it doesnt bring what you need, you can open the alternator and get the regulator out....
There are schematics around on the internet how to build a regulator....and how to adjust one to yr needs.

Hi Kumaran,

My goal is NOT using any chemicals to improve anything. So for me no KOH.
The gas production is very nice and will improve If I connect my alternator setup to it.
My new wfc is still leaking some drops of water and I have the right stuff to stop that.
After that I can make the famous bottle test to measure gas output.
I have the bottles already in the house for some months, but I never constructed it yet.

As far as the alternator goes, I also wanna have a non alternator setup. Because the alternator needs a drivermotor and both make a lot of noicee.... ;D
I need more control with non moving parts.

Did you have  a chance to measure your gas production in lites per minute yet?

Hi this is my firs post her at IX.

Steve;  I do not understand why you have a problem with the use of KOH, it does oly
benefit our goal!

Lower resistance = less heat + works as anti frees in the winter.... (mebe global warming in the end fixes this but in the mean time...)

Kumaran; I am most impressed with your efficiency of above 90% do you have the numbers or vid some place?
I have ben working on the C-cell from overynity.com to understand more. And indeed I wil say I have!

You guys, spesial thanx to Hydro, seems to be on the right track! And for now I wil agree with Kumaran, pulsed brute force plate cell
is the way to go!

I have also purchaseed an old Audi to experiment with..... So I'll during the weekend if I manage to put my new cell together an put it in my car.... :-\
