q4sandia24    In  terms of process how are they layered on the transparent aluminum or beryllium/copper substrates?

a4sandia24    No, we are already using the smectic phase to align the molecule in the production, the gold mono layer
                       is undergoing testing now. It is a general process. The electrostatic lifting helps the manipulation of the
                       film. Once the proper alignment is achieved, in our process the substrate is charged with the opposite
                       polarity and the gold film drops onto the substrate.  0.05 torr is suggested. A subsequent glass layer is then
                       deposited. By creating channels or holes in the glass barrier the next layer of gold is so close the
                       the underlying gold layer that an "atomic welding"  take place between the two layers making an electrical
                       connection. Thanks for the tip on the copper beryllium issue and so I think the graphene bonding problem is
                       essentially solved.
a4sandia24    Also the lateral stability of the graphene/glass cube is enhanced by an atomic spot welding by having
                      holes all around the periphery in the glass layers aligned and when the gold border is attached an atomic
                      gold post is formed but these stabilizing structures are not part of the circuit chip electronics. It is the carbon nano
                      tube connectors are used to interface the chip into the larger LSI's. Nice pix btw   regards

q4fermi83      what were the advantages for using the argon gas wash for the chamber before evacuating as opposed to the
                     use of neon or xenon? secondly in the 50nm range vis a vis the platinum is showing greater number of scintillation
                     points that correlates with the time of surface treatment. when the resonance point is reached and the gas is
                     released there is also a correlation with the rate of release and time of surface treatment.  I propose comparison
                     study of high pressure hydrogen and neon doping followed by gas evacuation of the chamber and determination
                     of subsequent gas production. If you have time, run a quick test before the October  meet.
