What is the fabric you are using?  Does this cell produce scum?  Are you using tapwater?

I used silk cause its thin and the hole in the fabric are very small so it stop the hydrogen or oxygen going the other side of the cell. no scum or almost: just becoming orange cause of the baking soda. Using distilled water, with tapwater its was getting dirty in some of my other cell. Right now im also using alcohol cause its really cold right here  :-[.  I will post some picture of it tommorow  ;D
