Alan, yes the next step now is to tune into the water resonance.I'm working on a new pwm that will help with that part.

I use only copper magnet wire.Stainless isn't needed for this VIC coils. This coil set when in resonance only pulls 20 milliamps. And the resonance is @ 10khz

In order to find this voltage, you'll need an oscilloscope. If you don't have one,you can still find it with a flouresent bulb like my pic shows. You can hook one end of the tube up to one side of the cell and adjust frequency untill you get the light as bright as it will go,and your at resonance.

Dynodon, What do you think of making a vic like that with electrical steel core, like the stuff I bought off of you?
Any comments on the function of the circuit that is in between the coils and around the sides?

Donald, the laminate material could be used, but it may not work as good as ferrite type.It might saturate at the higher frequencies the cell needs to resonate at.You could try it,it can't hurt.
As for the the coil pack, there isn't any circuits on that card. There's a 5 volt regulator, and a 2n3055 transistor for the voltage amplitude control circuit. There was a resistor in line with the primary, thats not in Stans original schematics. The blocking diode is there too,the one Stan said was used.Thats all there is on that card.

Was the primary also 29-30 guage?
Thanks DynoDon, that is the picture I have been looking for.
My machinist tells me he finished the test cell.
I have been testing out a coil pack with laminate steel with small results.

Hi Don
First of all thank you for the detailed picture of the VIC.
There I can see an LM340 5v regulator and a 2N3055 power transistor (marked in red in my pic A22 and Q4)
I cannot locate the diode. Is it hidden underneath the 2N3055 or is that big black rectangle outside and under the box WK S22A2T ?

Now correct me if I`m wrong:
1) I assume that the serial pc connector is going to the pll circuit which may be another box located in front of this one.
2) I assume that the 4 bolt connections on top are: (marked in orange in my pic)
·                    Positive supply(+12v)
·                    Negative ground
·                    2 output connections to cell

3) I can see some other transistors / mosfets / resistors in the box which may be for Q5, Q6, Q7, Q8, Q9
4) I assume that the parts in the VIC box are the ones located inside the cryan perimeter. Signal connections from this box to the externals circuitry is going through the 'Serial PC connector' and some I marked them as green dots.
Please correct me If I’m wrong.
