Thought I would write a small update on my MEG1.

It seems I am having primary voltage power issues that need some modifications.
Electrojolt sent me a power supply mod I will have to incorporate it.

Other tests have shown positive results looking for over COP1 but not there yet.
Some of these tests have shown me that I can load the secondary's up and see the current on the secondary's rise and no current change on the primary.
But..... as I load the secondary (with resistance) the voltage on the secondary also drops.
I have not found any good loads other than lamps.

So 2 things I have in mind, power supply mod (for more voltage) and or rewire my secondary coils.
I believe I need more turns here.

I'll have to leave this sit for a little while as I am working on some other old unfinished tube project.

Would it be possible to make this work by powering the control coils with common AC, the coil would have it's magnetic poles flop back and forth at the AC frequency, though not as sharp as a squarewave, I am wondering if this would still be enough to flop the permanent magnet flux from side to side through the pick up coils.
If that would work it would be a lot simpler to set up, just put 60 Hz in and get 60 Hz out at an increased wattage, thoughts?
Otherwise, how are you doing with this thing? It looks awesome :)
